Healthy Meals and Shared Dining
at Our Early Learning Childcare Centre
The children and educators at Bambini House gather daily for meals in the dining room; a place of togetherness, nourishment, and connection within our early learning childcare centre. We believe that communal eating is a meaningful tradition that supports children’s wellbeing and social development, and we celebrate it each day by encouraging children to explore new foods, flavours, and textures while engaging in relaxed conversation with educators and peers.
Fresh, Seasonal Meals Made with Care
Our in-house chef lovingly prepares every meal, and throughout the day the comforting aroma of home-style cooking fills our early learning childcare centre. Menus are thoughtfully planned using fresh, seasonal ingredients and local produce, while carefully accommodating all dietary, cultural, and nutritional requirements.
Building Positive Relationships with Food
A key part of the dining experience is helping children understand where their food comes from. Meals are often prepared in view of the children, allowing them to observe the process and develop appreciation for the care involved in creating healthy food. Through these shared experiences, children build gratitude, confidence, and positive relationships with food — an important foundation for lifelong wellbeing in an early learning childcare centre.
