TABLE

The children and educators at Bambini House gather daily for meals in the dining room; a place of togetherness and nourishment. We believe that communal eating is a tradition that should be celebrated and therefore, we practice it each day; encouraging the children to explore new foods, flavours and textures whilst engaging in conversation with one another and the educators.

Our in-house chef lovingly prepares every meal and hence on any day the smell of nurturing home cooking drifts throughout the house. The daily menu is inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and local produce and always adheres to the children’s dietary and cultural requirements.

A major facet of our kitchen and dining room is encouraging the children to understand where their food comes from. We often prepare the food in front of the children to express how much joy we gain from cooking and presenting a beautifully and carefully prepared meal. In turn, the children have a deeper sense of gratitude for the food they eat and enjoy.
